To celebrate my birthday, I slept in to recover from all our walking and exploring. We had a relaxed day in the apartment and spent time looking for a restaurant that was open on Monday (not too easy to find) and decided on our dinner destination: Les Cocottes. Since they didn't take reservations, we showed up close to the beginning of dinner service and got seats right away. Yay!
Starting with some rosé and bread. Appetizers on the way.

My dinner: steak, potatoes, salad. I know, it's so French! We didn't take snapshots of the appetizers we had, which were a delicious gazpacho and a fun caesar salad.
Tim's cocotte du jour: veal with potatoes in a tomato based sauce. It was yummy!
After dinner, we wandered to the Eiffel Tower and got there just as the sun started to set. We wanted to go up, but out of the four lifts in the tower only one was working and the line was super long. We settled for watching the sunset and taking lots of pictures!
Then we found a cafe for some chocolate mousse and our favorite thing to order:
