Day 17 - July 27: Le Tour Montparnasse & Batman

Since the Eiffel Tower's elevators weren't all working, we decided to get our city view from Tour Montparnasse, Paris' only skyscraper.  Its elevators go from the ground floor to the 87th floor in 38 seconds; they have a timer in the elevator so you can be really impressed!

View of Jardin du Luxembourg, where we had been a few days earlier.

I'm pointing to Sacre Coeur, which you can't really see.  It's surrounded by the greenery on the hill and our apartment was very close to it.

Rain and clouds were rolling in and out that day, but here you can better see Sacre Coeur on the hill.

After Tour Montparnasse, the rain was still coming and going, so what better night than this to see The Dark Knight Rises Batman movie?  It played in English with French subtitles and everyone applauded after it was over, so it was a fun experience.

After getting home, the Sacre Coeur looked so beautiful and mysterious at night from the window in the apartment, so we tried to capture some of that with these pictures.
