We really wanted to hit the cote d'azure while in Marseille, so we took a picnic to the beach. The water is so magically blue! It was also cold, so only Tim was brave enough to go for a dip. I was happy enough to refresh my feet along the shore.
After the picnic, we drove to a marina where a water taxi takes you from one end of Marseille to the other. If you were to drive this distance in rush hour, it'd take at least an hour but the boat ride is only half an hour. I'd love this kind of commute!
A view of Notre Dame de la Garde, overlooking Marseille from the hill.
A look at Marseille from the boat.
Under the arches is the restaurant in the little fishing cove we ate at on Friday night.
A closer look at Chateau d'If, from Count of Monte Cristo.
Coming into Vieux (Old) Port marina.
I think this was the view when we stopped for a couple cafes.
Carousel. We saw quite a few in France.
Random.
