We attended Stephanie's church in Marseille, though we arrived a little late. Maybe we should have waited until after church to take a couple photos?
Another view from Stephanie's apartment. She has a lovely place!
Unpictured: We enjoyed Stephanie's church, though we understood very little of it. Afterward, she invited her pastor and his wife over to join us for lunch. We had a delicious meal which, in the typical French way, lasted at least three hours. Afterward, we all needed some rest. Nap time!
For dinner, we prepared escargot (again, pre-seasoned and ready to cook from store) and a salad.
They call this salad 'Salad du Chevre Chaud' - hot goat salad. Basically means warm goat cheese toasts top whatever salad is under it. Yum!
A close-up on the snails. They have parsley-garlic butter in 'em.
How to eat a snail...
First, choose a snail.
Using something sharp, pull out the little guy from inside.
Look at it.
Inspect it.
Consider what a snail is and the fact you're about to eat it.
Shove the rubbery thing in your mouth.
Swirl the shell around and slurp out the yummy butter sauce.
Bon apetit!
My mouth is watering!!
